Hi,

Working on my Raspberry Pi organ project, I find it difficult to read some
to the fancy fonts on the little 10 inch screen, that is used in the various
organ skins. Some are more difficult to read than others.

I am thinking to adapt the skins, and just use a basic but very readable
font, on the raspberry Pi. I know it can use true type fonts, at least.

Can anybody suggest a good font to substitute in the skin please, to make my
life easier?

Brian.

Brian, Do you prefer serif or san serif fonts?San Serif seems to be a cleaner font to read.
Some look good but have unfortunate spacing on just a couple of typefaces. Some readable ones are not available in systems that substitute them for something else.I use Tahoma a lot for readability in my publications.
I just wish folks would not double-space between sentences (the old necessity of touch-typing on fixed-width typewriters before computers gave us proportional width characters). Sometimes that extra character space moves a word to a whole new line and thrown off the paragraph spacing.

Hi Paul,

Thank you.

I am sometimes guilty of double spaces between sentences, because at
secondary school, I took touch typing as one of my subjects (do you call it
a major?)

I have a hard time kicking this habit, because it was drilled into my
personality so (almost) indelibly.

Regards,

Brian.

Hi, Brian,

If you go for single space would you please throw in a double
after every six lines on a long post, it's a bit daunting trying to read a
solid block of text from top to bottom of the page!

Have fun,

Roy.
